About Us
Drawing on over 32 years of combined industry experience and expertise, Ekam Agricultural began operations in 2018 and is steadily progressing toward its goal of becoming one of the world's leading spice producers by continuously enhancing its production capacity and corporate structure.
Headquartered in Torbali, Izmir, Ekam Agricultural operates a modern production facility spanning 5,000 m² with an annual processing capacity approaching 2,000 tons of bay leaves. Shaping its production processes around quality, sustainability, and food safety principles, our company places respect for our country's natural heritage of forests and lands at the centre of all its investments.
In line with this vision, Ekam Agricultural maintains a strong partnership with its affiliate company KRD Kardesler Karadeniz Agricultural, operating in the Alacam district of Samsun. KRD Kardesler Karadeniz Agricultural operates in an integrated production campus housing 14,000 m² of advanced technology drying, processing, and essential oil distillation systems, backed by the experience of Karadeniz Agricultural, one of the world's largest fresh bay leaf suppliers.
The KRD & EKAM structure was born from the synergy between Ekam Agricultural, which produces at European quality standards, and KRD Kardesler Karadeniz Agricultural, which has high-volume supply capacity. With over 19,000 m² of total indoor production area and the industry's most modern machinery, sustainable, traceable, and high-quality production is carried out across a wide product range including bay leaves, thyme, sage, and rosemary.
