The nine catalogue grades help you compare bay leaves by size and selection type. A grade name alone does not guarantee moisture, essential-oil content, residue levels or microbiological suitability.

The appropriate grade depends on whether you present whole leaves, repack them or use them in a processing line. Assess a sample together with the written product specification before deciding.

Grade Glossary

These names identify products in our catalogue. The sample and order specification establish details that the grade name alone does not describe.

SA Quality BaleSA: The bale grade listed as SA. Specify leaf size, integrity and acceptance criteria in your enquiry.
FAQ BaleFAQ: The bale grade listed as FAQ. Assess suitability for your use against a sample and written specification.
SS Press BaleSS: The pressed-bale grade listed as SS Press. Pack weight and loading details are agreed in the quotation.
HPS 4-7 cmHPS 4-7: The HPS grade labelled 4–7 cm. Discuss appearance, size tolerance and packaging requirements.
HPS 5-10 cmHPS 5-10: The HPS grade labelled 5–10 cm. Sample and acceptance criteria are agreed before ordering.
